The Adopt-a-Horse Fund

The 1908 Looff Carousel has been a beloved attraction at Heritage for decades for all visitors. This program provides an opportunity for individuals to support the museum’s efforts to systematically evaluate and conserve the carousel horses. Each year the museum removes one of the horses to have an expert make necessary repairs, strip old paint and repaint the horse in a historically-accurate manner. When it returns, it appears as though it were straight from Looff’s factory.
