We all love our Hydrangea macrophylla plants, but they are the least cold-hardy hydrangea species and often bloom poorly following a harsh Cape Cod winter. During this small-group workshop session, Heritage’s Curator of Hydrangeas, Mal Condon, will provide information and demonstrate protection techniques to help your plants better endure tough winter weather. Lots of useful winter protection components have become available over the last couple of years, and Mal is always evaluating these improved products and is eager to share his newest techniques and developments. He’ll demonstrate step-by-step procedures, display the tools and materials discussed, and share their sources.

There will be plenty of ongoing time for questions and discussion, and following the program you’ll receive a PDF file containing presentation content via email for your reference.

This program will be held indoors at the Heald Center inside the J.K. Lilly III Automobile Gallery. Advance registration is required, and we expect this popular program to sell out.
